Peacehaven Botanic Park in Highfields has scenic valley and mountain views. Children gravitate toward the unique playground featuring interactive water elements with pumps and gates controlling stream flow, plus dinosaur bone displays sparking imagination. Well-maintained paths are suitable for wheelchairs and prams, with strategically placed benches, picnic tables, and cooking facilities making it good for family gatherings. The expansive central lawn offers space for games and relaxation. Toilets are near the car park. Wildlife adds another dimension. A bird paradise where you'll hear various species. Quieter periods, particularly Sunday afternoons, feel worlds away from urban bustle despite being easily accessible.

You should first check with Toowoomba council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
